KOKH grew from families concerned about parental child abduction and the need for stronger prevention, education, and legal protections. Today, our work brings families, professionals, advocates, and policymakers together to help protect children and preserve healthy child-parent relationships.
Our mission
Prevention, protection, education, and reform.
The original mission of Keep Our Kids Home was simple and urgent: to prevent the abduction and harmful separation of children.
That mission has grown into a broader effort focused on child-abduction prevention, protection of healthy child-parent relationships, legislative and policy advocacy, public education, professional training, and support for families navigating complex systems.
KOKH believes that preventing an abduction before it occurs is far better than trying to repair the damage afterward.

Maryland Advocacy
KOKH became involved in efforts to develop Maryland legislation addressing child-abduction prevention and risk.
2023
Legislative Milestone
Maryland enacted child-abduction prevention legislation, an important milestone in the issues KOKH had been advocating around.
